Restaurant Registration

*The deadline to be on the printed map is November 1, 2024. After this date, we cannot guarantee printing on the map, but you can still register by filling out the form and we’ll do our best to promote your establishment via social media, at check in, and on our digital map.

Restaurant Guidelines:

We welcome the participation of all of Greenport’s restaurants in our 13th Annual Shellabration!
Please Submit a form by November 1st, 2024 if you want to be included in this year’s festivities, being held December 7th and 8th.

All participating restaurants must offer at least one small plate and beverage tasting that showcase local seafood and beverage makers. The pricing of the pairings is $8 for a small plate and $5 for a tasting pour. Same as last year.

Many other aspects will remain the same: a two-day event taking place from Noon-4pm on Sat/Sun December 7 & 8;  “show your wristband, get the deal” on a local seafood/shellfish dish and local wine or beer pairing; wristband proceeds support our SPAT Program and our Back to the Bays Initiative to enhance and restore marine habitat and shellfish populations. So by participating you are directly supporting these efforts and we are so appreciative!

Sustainable Seafood Inspiration

Shellabration is a fundraiser, but one of the most important goals of this community event is to encourage local people to enjoy local seafood, local beverages, and shop in local stores. This benefits the Greenport community, as well as our precious marine environment.

Chefs, let your creativity shine by utilizing locally sourced clams, oysters, scallops, and other fish in your Shellabration dishes!

For inspiration, CCE Marine’s Fisheries Team has a special program, dedicated to educating the public and professionals about Fresh, Indigenous, Sustainable, Healthy seafood (F.I.S.H.). And LIOGA (Long Island Oyster Growers Association) can help you source local shellfish. Visit their websites for species information, recipes, and more!

CCE is thrilled to announce the development of the Long Island Seafood Cuisine Trail, featuring restaurants that showcase local and sustainable seafood. If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity and how to source and utilize local seafood, please contact CCE Fisheries Specialist, Kristin Gerbino at kk334@cornell.edu.
